People who have gained a new life after lung transplantation may have to deal with new issues created by the post-transplant medications. This story describes a common side effect.
07/15/2026 – How clinical studies are changing the way we detect, diagnose and treat lung infections – Lung infections remain a health concern for people living with CF even those taking CFTR modulators. The UK’s Cystic Fibrosis Trust is funding several research projects looking at diagnosis and treatment options.
07/16/2026 – Cystic Fibrosis in the Spotlight at British Open – The 154th Open Championship gets underway today in England. The field of players includes David Howard, a 27-year old living with CF. Perhaps the coverage will provide recognition that CF does not limit your dreams. Perhaps Mr. Howard’s play will inspire you to sign up for the Living with CF Golf Tournament (9/12/2026).
07/17/2026 – CFTR modulators cut bacterial burden but stubborn clusters remain – CFTR modulators help clear (and keep clearing) mucus from the lungs. However, Pseudomonas infections can persist in those lungs.
07/18/2026 – Our submission to the Women and Equalities Committee: why flexible working must work for people with cystic fibrosis (CF) – This report relates to activities in the United Kingdom; however, there are some observations that may be useful in advocating for work accommodation for people living with CF in the US.
