06/06/2023 – Inside the lab with CF researcher Ryan – This interview reviews the research work on the GI tract microbiota.
06/07/2023 – True Teamwork in CF Care – The caregivers at home are valuable members of the CF care team tracking symptoms as well as administering treatments.
06/08/2023 – Broken Arrow 2023 recap: New cystic fibrosis treatments creating new research questions and opportunities for discovery – Canada’s CF research conference covered several areas for further investigation including changes brought about by new treatments, including CFTR modulators.
06/09/2023 – Finding community in the world of cystic fibrosis cross-infection – The recognition of the risks of cross-infection changed the dynamics of the CF community, adding to the sense of isolation.
06/10/2023 – How chronic stress drives the brain to crave comfort food – Another chapter in science that may be relevant to CF even though not specifically designed for CF. We know CF generates stress. At one time, when “eat all you want” was the dietary guidance for CF, this research would be good news. The advances in CF treatments, particularly CFTR modulators, have increased the concern about obesity in CF which turns this research into a relevant advisory.
