04/13/2026 – “Transplant is an incredible and precious gift” – Rosie’s story – Lung transplantation can produce a new outlook on life. In this story, the beneficiary was inspired to help improve transplant outcomes in the UK.
04/14/2026 – Trikafta modestly eases digestive symptoms in children with CF: Study – It’s easy to conclude that CFTR modulators would have an impact beyond the lungs, but it is better to see proof of that assumption. While Trikafta did not appear to affect pancreatic insufficiency in this study, there were other improvements in digestive health.
04/15/2026– Recognizing My Trauma Post-Transplant –Transplantation corrects the damage done to lungs by CF, but it can also add to CF’s mental health burden.
04/16/2026 – Dr. Augusto Zani: Decoding Pulmonary Exacerbations Through Tiny Cellular Messages – We know that each case of CF is unique and treatments work differently for each person. This research could lead to personalized medicine.
04/17/2026 – Personal patient story – Cystic Fibrosis – This story from Israel shows that CF cares the same concerns all around the world but your location has a lot to do with treatment and access to medications.
04/18/2026 – CF transplant timing not tied to severe COVID-19 outcomes: Study – Respiratory viruses (such as COVID-19) pose a risk to people living with CF post-transplant. This study indicates that overall health was a more significant indicator of the outcome of a COVID infection rather than the transplant itself.
