The CF Foundation recently provided an update on a research trial.
Vertex 661/770 in People with Cystic Fibrosis and F508del-CFTR mutation
The study will evaluate safety and effectiveness of VX-661 in combination with ivacaftor in subjects with cystic fibrosis (CF) who are homozygous for F508del CFTR (cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator) mutation. The evaluate results when the combination has been taken for 12 weeks.
