Sunday August 4th was a bright, sunny day at Wickham Farms – a perfect setting for CFFC Family Day.
50 members of our CF community joined us for our first in-person event in five years. The venue – and the weather – were perfect for bringing everyone together while providing safe space to respect infection control concerns. We set up in “The Barn” where our guests could sit down out of the sun (with a nice cooling breeze) to enjoy their food and recover from the activities. With everyone taking advantage of the many activities, we didn’t have an opportunity to take a group photo.
Our attendees were a reflection of the “CF community.” We had a great mix of individuals living with CF, family, friends and caregivers.
We didn’t skimp on the traditional education component of the day. As you can see from the video, lots of information was made available by CFFC, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and staff of the Complex Care Center. Of course, the more formal resources were supplemented by the conversations among the guests.
