The CF Foundation recently provided an update on the following research trial.
QBW251 in people with cystic fibrosis and healthy participants
This is a phase 2, placebo controlled trial that will look at the safety and tolerability of the drug QBW251. This trial will also look to see how well the drug works in the body by measuring lung function. Researchers will test the drug in healthy volunteers and those with cystic fibrosis who have at least one copy of F508del mutation. This trial will require blood draws, lung function tests, and urine samples. It is for people who are between the ages 18-55.
