01/10/2026 – CFTR mutations may drive CF diabetes, independent of mucus – Current statistics indicate that about 50% of adults with CF have been diagnosed with cystic fibrosis related diabetes. This research shows a correlation between the class of CFTR mutation and the severity of CFRD. Hopefully, this research can lead to improved CFRD treatment.
