12/23/2025Small study finds GLP-1 drugs boost lung function in CF patients – With the improvements in CF treatment, excess weight has become an issue for people living with CF. The incidence of CF-related diabetes is also increasing. There is a glimmer of good news in this study that shows the drug used to treat those issues may also improve lung function.

12/24/2025Finding Community Through an Unexpected Hobby – I guess it is not surprising that playing bagpipes is good for clearing the lungs (like a big flutter valve?). It is a little more surprising that bagpipes could become the center of a CF community.

12/26/2025This popular painkiller may do more harm than good – Chronic pain can be an issue for some people living with CF. This review indicated that one painkiller prescribed to avoid opioid dependence may not be the best choice.
