03/22/2026 – Damage to lungs may start with early immune cells in childhood CF: Study – Laying the groundwork for further research, this study identified immune cells which contributed to inflammation early in life. The study also noted that CFTR modulators had no effect on this condition.

03/25/2026 – Colorectal (Colon) Cancer: What You Need to Know – This article notes that “adults with cystic fibrosis are at a significantly higher risk of developing colorectal cancer than the general population.” The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation offers three observations to manage the risk.
03/26/2026 – Embracing Life After Transplant – This story ends with an emphasis on exercise but, throughout the story, the multiple sources of mental health stress are key elements.
03/27/2026 – Addressing language barriers in clinical trials: our new translated resources – The Cystic Fibrosis Trust in the UK has taken a big step to increase access to clinical trials. Expanding representation of non-white and other minority populations is important for gaining a full understanding of CF and ensure appropriate treatments for everyone living with CF.
03/28/2026 – Dr. John Hanrahan: Hope for Rare CF Mutations – Gene editing holds hope for those with mutations that are not affected by CFTR modulators. While this research focuses on a specific rare mutation, the approach could be used for other mutations.
