CFFC is very pleased with the response we received for the donation of oscillating vests that were no longer needed. To date we have received three offers. More importantly, the first vest is on its way to Bosnia. Here is a message from Vehid Basic, the RN at Highland Hospital who is coordinating the transfer:
To my dearest friends,
I want to share with you that the first machine has been sent to Sarajevo – today 4/17/13. After several fruitless attempts (due to complicated paperwork) I feel relieved that this process has officially started. The machine is being shipped to Caritas (Catholic Humanitarian Organization) in Sarajevo. It will be then taken by the Open Network (government sponsored TV station) which will proceed that to Amar – a 19 year old cystic fibrosis patient who is awaiting lung transplant.
I was trying to come up with a simple way to thank you folks, but my efforts weren’t met with a reasonable saying. I could go on and on about how much your efforts have meant – not only to me – but to anyone even remotely involved in this inspirational story. I know it will never be enough, but I would like to extend my most sincere “Thank You” to all of you.
CFFC is grateful to have the opportunity to assist such a noble effort.
