Join CFFC on Saturday, September 13th for the Living with CF Golf Tournament. The event will again be held at the Southern Meadows Golf Club in Rush. You can sign up for the fun by mailing the form in the Living with CF Golf Brochure_2025 or you can complete the on-line registration below. To guarantee your entry (and food), please register by September 5th.
The Living with CF Golf Tournament is CFFC’s only fund-raising event. Your participation will provide resources to continue our support for the Rochester/Finger Lakes CF community. Our primary programs are Hospital Help Packets, Clinic Baggies, emergency grants and Family Day. You can learn about these and other activities on the CFFC Programs page.
We have held the line on the entry fee in prior years, but costs are catching up with us. So, we have implemented a slight increase to $75 for individual entry or $260 for a foursome. Your entry fee covers greens fees, cart rental, check-in snacks and lunch buffet featuring grilled beef tenderloin. (You can buy an extra lunch for a non-golfer for $15.) If so inclined, you can also step up to sponsor a hole ($100) or make an additional donation. Visit our Donations page for instructions on paying by check, PayPal or Venmo.
We will form three- or four-person teams for those who do not sign up as a foursome. The tournament is played in a scramble format which levels the competition across all skill levels. Past experience shows us that all players have enjoyed the event regardless of their score.
In addition to the fun of golfing for a good cause, there are other returns on your “investment.” Read about the prizes for team score, “closest to the pin,” hole-in-one, and the new putting contest. Click the tabs for the details on each prize opportunity.
In the scramble format, one score is recorded for the team. The order in which teams visit the prize table (with a variety of items) is based on their score – lowest score going first, followed by second lowest, etc. until all prizes have been claimed. In the case of tie scores, the club pro will determine the ranking.
Two lucky/skilled player will take home a gift basket for hitting their tee shot “closest to the hole” on the second or fourth hole. The first team to play each hole will place a marker at the spot for the ball closest to the pin and write the name of the person who made that shot on the marker. Any subsequent player who hits their tee shot closer to the pin will move the marker and write their name. Any shot that lands on the green beats any shot off the green regardless of the relative distance.
Prizes are available on any of the four par-three holes if a player hits REALLY close to the pin; that is, hits a hole-in-one. The prizes are:
7th hole – $5,000
2nd hole – $1,000 credit for REVO performance sunglasses
4th hole – $750 credit for online shopping at True Linkswear for golf shoes and apparel
9th hole – 12 dozen of winner’s choice of Bridgestone golf balls
There are two opportunities to score a prize for making a 60’ putt on the ninth green. We will be selling raffle tickets ($5) at check-in. Before tee-off, we will have a drawing and the lucky ticket holder will get one try to win $2,500. All other ticket holders will have a chance to make that putt (for a lesser prize) when they play the 9th hole.
Any questions? Contact the tournament chair, Greg Smith, by email to [email protected].
All that’s left is to sign up using the online form or mail in the entry form in the Living with CF Golf Brochure_2025. We ask for an email address and phone number so we can confirm your entry and send you any updates.
Visit the CFFC Donations page to see how to make each form of payment.
