10/14/2026 – Share Your Perspective on Draft CF Infection Control Guideline – The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is seeking feedback on proposed updates to infection control guidelines through the questionnaire launched by this link. A link to the draft guidelines is provided on the third page of the questionnaire. Response is due by October 13, 2026.
Their announcement: “We invite you to review a draft infection prevention and control guideline by Saturday, Oct. 31. This guideline is an update to one published in 2013. It explains ways to lower the risk of spreading germs in healthcare settings, daily life, and places where people gather.
“The draft was created by an international committee that included adults with CF and family members and was based on the latest scientific research. Your feedback can help the committee understand where additional clarity or context may be needed before they finalize the guideline. Please note that the draft is a scientific paper written for CF care teams, so it is technical in nature.”

10/16/2026 – GLP-1s may boost lung function for CF-related diabetes patients – While GLP-1 medications are prescribed to manage insulin and weight gain for people with CF-related diabetes, a study in Australia found those individuals also achieved improvements in lung function.
