The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has appointed the former director of the Buffalo CF Center to lead a new department – Community Parnerships. Here is the text from the recent announcement:

Drucy Borowitz, M.D., formerly the CF Center Director at the Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo, recently joined the CF Foundation staff as Vice President of Community Partnerships.  In her role at the Foundation, she will lead new CFF efforts to bring the voices of individuals with CF and their families into all Foundation activities and to support and partner with people touched by CF every day.  We hope to achieve this by advancing and organizing ongoing Foundation-wide efforts as well as launching new programs identified by the community.  To date, these efforts have included the development of a pilot peer-to-peer mentorship program for adults with CF, a formal CF adult advisory council and a growing network of people with CF, parents, caretakers, spouses and siblings who lend their insights as we work to improve the lives of people living with CF today, the Adult and Family Advisors (AFA).  Her blogpost went live today on cff.org:  Changing How the Foundation Partners With People With CF

Drucy will work with the community and her CFF team to identify ways the Foundation can further support people with CF and their families in their everyday lives.  If you would like to share your thoughts, you may send email to her at [email protected].
